Food Ministry

We all know how tough things can be these days, if you add extra challenges, such as a job loss or health problems, life can be especially difficult. Members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church would like to help out in a small way by providing Care Packages of food and common household items to those in need in our community . If you are in any need, download an application form here or call 973-379-4525 to request one to be mailed to you. We hope to be able to serve you.

Due to COVID we have been distributing gift cards for families in need in lieu of or normal care packages.

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING

Anyone wishing to contribute food or shoprite gift cards for people in Springfield can do so by contacting our church office  Please call to arrange a drop off time so that someone is there to receive them outside of normal hours.   Helping out in this small way can make such a big difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Blessing Bags for the Homeless

Holy Cross collects toiletries and hygiene products for periodic distribution to homeless women and families in our our area through partnership with the Elizabeth Coalition to House the homeless.

Holy Cross has regularly sponsored children through world vision. Our contributions help keep our sponsored children in school and provides for their needs,.
