Summer Worship Update 9:30 AM Sunday

Starting this Sunday July 3rd, 2022, until Sunday September 11th, 2022 Holy Cross will be taking turns leading a joint worship service with Calvary Lutheran Church for the summer in Calvary’s main sanctuary. Pastor Carol Lindsay and I are working more intentionally together to find ways for our congregations to engage in mission, invite new people to worship with us, and to work to find ways for the members of each congregation to get to know one another and support each other in Christian love.

The congregations will rotate leading worship in their style and Pastor Lindsay, and I will take turns preaching. It is our wish to introduce our distinct worship styles to each other and to have an opportunity to get to know each other. This is an experiment to see where the Holy Spirit may be leading our congregations so that we can work together in our common mission to the gospel of Jesus Christ that welcomes all no matter who they are or where they are from.

We will return to our previous schedule with Holy Cross meeting at 9 AM and Calvary at 10:15 Sunday September 18, 2022. Please keep our ministry in your prayers and we look forward to seeing you this summer.
