How does the Second Commandment flow from the first commandment?

What are some of the ways that we can take the Lord’s name in vain or use it in a meaningless manner?

Why are people more likely to be offended by curse words that describe human bodily functions than those that take God’s name in vain?

Do we sometimes use God’s name to hurt others? Can you think of some ways this happens?

Luther looks at the Second Commandment in two ways, the command not misuse God’s name and as an imperative to call on him, which is harder for you to accomplish and why?

Is proclaiming the Good News that God’s Kingdom is near a way for us to honor the Second Commandment in a positive way?

When Jesus sends out the twelve he gives specific questions about how they are to behave while on mission; what do these actions communicate about God to those who hear the message?
