Word Studies for the Week of June 16, 2019

June 16 ● Trinity Sunday – Knowing the Risen One: Our Salvation Story ● Romans 5:1-11

Who do you find it easiest to pray to; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), or God the Holy Spirit? How come?

Describe the personal ways that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have each shown you love. What are they?

Romans 5:1 states that we have been given peace with God through Jesus, how would you describe what that means in your own words?

How has Jesus given you access to God’s grace as Paul states in Romans 5:2? (See verse 6) What is the role of suffering in Romans 5:3-4, are you comfortable with what Paul seems to be saying?

How might Romans 5:5 reveal to us the difference between meaningless suffering and suffering for Christ? What is that difference?

How does Jesus’ death and resurrection reveal the Love given by each person of the Trinity, Father, Son, and Spirit?

Which person of the Trinity do you actually spend the most time with?
