Family Promise Sunday July 16th 10AM-Supporting those without a Home

Join us for a presentation by Amy Beth Jones of Family Promise based in Summit NJ as she introduces the good work they do in New Jersey to help those who struggle to find a home they can afford.
Family Promise-Union County (FPUC) is one of more than 200 Affiliates nationwide serving children and their families. FPUC is overseen by the national Family Promise office.

The need for shelter and comprehensive support services in Union County remains great. In the 2016 Point in Time count, Union County reported:

  • 328 households were experiencing homelessness, an increase of 23% from 2015;
  • 161 children under the age of 18 were homeless;
  • 58% of those children were under the age of 6.

FPUC focuses on providing shelter and support to homeless and at-risk families. Since re-opening in 2013, FPUC has served nearly 500 families. 79% of the families who graduated from the program secured housing within, on average, eleven weeks.
